Iditarod Dog Sled Race start in Anchorage, Alaska
Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race commemorates the race to Nome, Alaska with serum to combat a diphtheria epidemic threatening the town in 1925. The much needed serum was raced from Nenana to Nome by dog team. Twenty teams relayed the medicine 674 miles in 127.5.

Weekend Director

 

KTVA has an opening available for a WEEKEND DIRECTOR / TECHNICAL DIRECTOR.  This position is responsible for all technical aspects of four live newscasts each weekend plus master control duties. 1 to 3 years of experience in television is desired.

The right candidate works quickly and effectively under pressure, approaches duties with a positive attitude and is able to lead a crew by example. Knowledge of master control and production switchers desired. Prior experience with other TV station roles (graphics, audio, servers) a plus.

Schedule will include weekend and up to three weekday evenings and may include early mornings, late nights & holidays.
