Iditarod Dog Sled Race start in Anchorage, Alaska
Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race commemorates the race to Nome, Alaska with serum to combat a diphtheria epidemic threatening the town in 1925. The much needed serum was raced from Nenana to Nome by dog team. Twenty teams relayed the medicine 674 miles in 127.5.

Program Assistant

KBBI is hiring a new position for a Program Assistant. Duties include volunteer training and supervision, weekend announcing, and music library.

Qualifications: 1 year broadcast radio, public preferred, or other related experience. Excellent communication/people skills; MS computer and Office 2010 experience; good audio production and announcing skills; attention to detail; maintain a flexible work schedule. Work with staff, volunteers and the public in a professional, cooperative manner.

Reliable transportation.

Friday-Monday, 30 hours/week. Leave and health benefits available.
